Easing back into this week after a short holiday break, we took a multiple choice test and was introduced to our upcoming SSR project: The Pecha Kucha Presentation. I was familiar with the multiple choice test because I have taken college board standardized tests before, including the SAT, AP Gov and AP macro economics. Tests relessed from the College Board tend to be far more difficult than a regular multiple choice test because you have to choice the most correct answer rather than the most obvious one. Over the years, I have struggled with these types of tests. For the practice multiple choice test we took in class I did not score very high. I hope we will have more opportunites to practice this portion of the AP lit test so I can feel more confident on test days.
I may have mentioned this before but I really enjoy presenting my ideas and spin on a topic in front of the class. I am excited to demonstrate my abilites as a presentor in a Pecha Kucha style. This is a style I have never tried before. With a 20 slide presentation and 20 seconds per slide, this will measure my consisness and comprehension for the two books I have read for class. The two books I will be reading are Monkey Bridge and Slaughterhouse Five. Both of these stories capture the true destructiness of war. With different authors and different historical contexts, I will develop a deeper understanding of the affect war has on individuals. For the first six weeks, I will be reading Monkey Bridge. I like it so far.
